I’ve procrastinated so much on Vinca’s comic it’s ridiculous! I haven’t even finished page 3! At this pace i’ll get one page done per week, and that means I’ll never get to finish Dx
I already scripted the next comic… It’s shorter, only 11-12 pages instead of the 23 this one has. And it serves a purpose, unlike this one, which could be summed up in like… 3 pages XD; But since I fail at life, I somehow managed to extend it to 23 pages! “Orz

So, I’m still pretty Vinca-centered lately.
But before speaking of that, Suppi and I did quite well in our Comic with photos thing… besides the fact we’re incredible slow workers and we’re impossibly out of schedule and almost overdue xD;
We did awful on the marketing test, due overconfidence and not memorizing part of the stuff…. oh well 9_9: It was a 2-people test and even with that we did awful! We suck xD;

Now, back to Vinca, I showed my BB roughs to my Comic Workshop teacher and he really liked them! He wants now to keep an eye on my progress and show that to him every class along with my normal homework xD; That’ll help me working more seriously on it.

Sorry, I’ve been artistically dead and unmotivated lately >_o;

I need to finish a commission, work on a OMG uber old art trade and work on Vinca’s BB, and I just keep procrastinating Dx; And I hate college with a passion. I wish I was done with it already, I’ve been skipping classes so much it’s not funny anymore Dx

Anyway… Last sunday I worked a lot for FlightOfTwilight I was so happy! I rough-sketched a LOT of scenes! Now i have to sketch them properly Dx; Drawing in somebodyelse’s style is always a pain for me ^^; I also have to make a digital-watercolor test for a series of CGs… but eithe rthat than doing real watercolor job…

I… have to talk to Jack about the characters for the game I drew for him… he replied to me and, as usual, I forgot to reply back… Dx

Now, I’ll leave you with the first page of Vinca’s BB, that’s almost almost finished! It won’t be finished until thwvery end because I need to copy-paste a couple of things in therthat I’ll be drawing way later, so yeah…. Suppi loved it, and that made me happy ^_^ I was pretty pleased with the result ^^…. But it took me several hours to ink and color Dx; I’m never ggoinng to finish my BB at this pace DX; Oh well… I’ll need luck ^^; And motivation Dx

Oh, and I made a couple of boring Ishtera doodles at Suppi’s again.

One page more of Vinca’s comic to rough sketch and I’ll be ready to… sketch it more clearly? xD

Today was a very boring and unproductive day Dx So…. yeah.

A friend of mine asked me to teach her how to do digital coloring and such, and she’s going to pay me, so I have to make a program and see how many classes i shoud give her and how much i’m going to charge her… I’m excited! I’ve always wanted to tecah people how I do things =3 I’m lay to make a bazillion tutorials, though…. I’m so impatient I want to finish the picture quickly and taking 400 sreenshots and writting everything I’m doing takes so much time Dx; Maybe I should make videos, lol.

Yesterday i made some rough character design sketches for jack…. but I think I’m not allowed to show hem around =/ I’ll ask him, and If he gives me permission, I’ll post them here ^^. bad thing is that I’m so influenced by things i like/watch/myself it leaks through my drawings badly xD;

Now I’ll leave you with a sketch/rough/ugly thing I drew just now. It’s how a fight between Vinca and Anya would be. Not that they’re ever going to fight, though, since they’re friends and roommates xD; Vinca’s pose was redrawn a bazilion times and still looks… not good enough. I really need to practice my dynamic drawing ^^;

Yesterday I installed a gallery plugin to the website and fiddled qith it a lot (it’s really fun! X3)
So far I have 2 galleries uploaded: Vinca and Ishtera.

There are some images missing on both galleries and there are some images and doodles I never uploaded before on both to compensate =P

I’ll try to keep uploading more stuff during this week. I won’t be uploading really old stuff, though, since I really don’t like to look at them ^^; I’ll also upload my commissioned images, since I’m closing my commissions page for now (too complicated and ugly xD; )

I couldn’t draw anything today since I was at Suppi’s most of the day, but since i was uploading Ishtera images, I decided to make a quick doodle and post it here X3 I’ll try my best to not leave any post without images >O

I’ve decided this will be my only online hangout from now on.

I’m sorry if I freaked anybody out with my massive deviation storage on dA and my Facebook deactivation.

I’ll save you the emo rant, ad I’ll just say this is a cleanup and a sort of… new start.
I’ll try to make a gallery with my favourite old drawings, in case anybody wants to look at that stuff, an I’ll make a gallery where my new stuff will be, hopefully more finished and done with more motivation ^^

I’ll keep posting random doodles and works in progress here and there every couple of days if I can ^^

Now I should go work on the weekly Flight of Twilight stuff and sketch some character designs for jack’s game…

The image for today are the roughs/thumbs for Vinca’s beyond battle for EnterVOID of pages 5-15. Ia already drew page 15, but it didn’t fit the screenshot xD;  7 pages left and I’ll start sketching decently and asking for proper feedback from friends to make it as good as possible =3

I have this huge 22 pages long comic for Vinca. It’s not as llong as it sounds, though, since half of the pages have around2-3 pannels instead of my usual 6-8. that should give me room to make deailed stuff… if I manage to do that anyway ^^;

So I’ve been having fun plotting with my friend Duredhel about Vinca’s storyline. It’s long and, hopefully, veyr interesting. And it’s linked to his story since I fail a creating intrincated plots by myself, haha.

Other than that, I still hate my career, I’m skipping classes and procrastinaing when I shouldn’t and I’m being emo about my art. And I’m havig headaches and I’m very sleepy and not hungry.

I’m geting bored about everything, but I’m happy with my latest doodles… just doodles, though, since I don’t have the patience to make full-fledged drawings like my Ishtera ones lately… The places I used to hang out online are getting boring or toxic and I’m feeling suffocated here at home doing nothing but staring at random sites online when I don’t want to draw =_=; Also hating this place and missing my old place doesn’t help at all ^^;

Oh well…
I’ll leave you now with the rough sketches for pages 1-4 of Vinca’s Beyond Battle comic (18 to go, yay! xD), and some doodles I did today at Suppi’s I gave older-ish Vinca a slightly different outfit, and there are a couple of quick chibi-ish doodles of Vinca and Will <3

I’ve been working on the layout for my flash-made interactive portfolio for my portfolio class.

The assignment was to design one’s portfolio with a concept in mind.
My concept work sucks badly, so I just threw something together that i liked.

…. I’m sure I’m going to end finishing this in two more weeks and getting awfully bored for the rest of the period. My classmates have 0 flash knowledge, while I’m already used to the program =_=;

Now I hate my commissions page xD; And this blog’s layout too… they looks so… messy and boring Dx;
i might end up changing both (this blog and the commissions page) to fit my portfolio design in a near future.

Using a sketch I did of Vinca and Will right when I started the battle, I’m making a CGing tutorial. RIght now only the lineart part has been done, and the Digital lineart part is still incomplete Dx; I was lazy today to redo the whole lineart with the tablet once yesterday i did it by hand and spent hours editing it in photoshop to look pretty Dx;

Read it at EnterVOID

Finished Vinca vs. Anya last night at 3:35 AM, 25 minutes before the deadline. My plans to have it done by midnight went to hell, haha.

Looking at it now, it has a bazillion mistakes and due the flat colors looks awfully flat… I wish I could have spent my time wisely so I could have had time to throw some celshading over background and characters.
I feel like I’ve improved a lot, thou =3 I’m really happy ^^ Backgrounds, the thing I avoid the most, were managed using 3D studio Max as a reference, since pretty much all the comic happened in two spaced, so I modeled them in 3D, added a target camera and with that found the right angles. Having 3DSM and Photoshop at the same time was a bit tiring for my computer, thou ^^;
I also noticed that my character drawings don’t look as bad and flat as usual, an comparing things to my last battle ne year ago was alike… wow!
Again, I’m sad I couldn’t do a good coloring job, since my coloring is my strong point and I have improved greatly lately.
It was really fun to draw this, even if it wasn’t challenging and I hated it for around a week due my mental blocking xD; Read the rest of this entry »
