Deji will be drawing BL… wait, WHAT?!
If you know me, you should know I don’t like BL.
I’m one of the last remaining girls (an endangered species, indeed) that like anime stuff but don’t scream ” OMGGAYKYAAA!!” when looking at two male friends on any given situation x’D
I don’t despise it, though.
I have actually thought of some BL couples as cute at some point and I did read a couple of yaoi (explicit) doujinshis and fics at some point too, but I swear it was for the plot (and a bit of morbid curiosity of what all the fuss was about x’D).
Still, I don’t personally like it. I don’t watch/read BL stories and I don’t go looking at BL pictures. If somebody tells me to, I normally say “uh, I’ll pass” .
So what the hell am I doing involved in a project that has BL in it?

Well, my involvement on this started one day when Sexy-chan approached me on deviantART to commission me some male sprites for her.
It took me forever and a day with my super awesome time management skills (NOT), and then she comissioned me to do some more sprites I’m currently working on~
Then today she contacted me again to see if I could also draw CGs for the VN and that if I minded BL.
…. wait, what?
I was frozen on my seat for half a second xD
Then I thought “ok, as long as there’s nothing… uh… yaoi/explicit, I guess I could do it”.
So I said ok! (and I was assured nothing explicit was involved xD)

You know, I’m actually looking forward to draw this now! Hahaha xD I actually think it’ll be a cool challenge 
I wonder if I’ll be able to convey the same level of ”Awww~” feeling I (try to) do with regular het couples. I hope it will come out nice x3
And there seems to be a group of people that will love to see me drawing that kind of stuff, haha.
So… wish me luck? x’D
(I’m sure Suppi will have an attack once he learns I’ll be drawing BL stuff, hahaha )

I totally get what you mean, I’m definitely not a fan of boys love either. (However, Wild Adapter’s main characters relationship is very interesting to me. It’s probably the only Yaoi couple I support)

Almost all stories with the Bl en Yaoi as main theme are the same XD;; I read dosens of those. But when it’s mixed with other genre, like fantasy or mystery, then it could be very interesting. Mainly, just a hint of Bl would do. Let the fangirls fantasize the rest XD.

Wow I’d be a combination of SUPER nervous and also a little shocked if someone approached me to create illustrations for a BL work. I’m not one of those crazy fans that screams at the idea of two guys being together, but there are so good titles

I’m not a huge fan of BL either. I prefer fluffy stuff though. If it’s portrayed well (with the characters I care about haha), it actually looks pretty cute.

Personally I dont really mind reading yaoi, just for a change after reading many shoujo and shonen mangas. Just think it as a challenge for yourself
Sometimes you need to try and explore the areas that you never did before.
Anyway, best of luck for you!

i read shounen-ai but a very few yaoi… because I’m sinful enough reading the smut ones and i can’t accept that yaoi couples are SAID to be better than the normal ones so those fluffy BL of shounen-ai are enough for me! I really like your art and I guess i would try that game even if it is a yaoi… wait, is it the so-called hardcore kind of yaoi game with explicit content? hope not. ^^
